What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We collect the following data from you in order to process reservations and for registration with the Tourist Organisation Thun Thunersee Tourismus for the purpose of issuing guest cards and with the authorities for the purpose of recording and collecting visitor's tax: Name, address, date of birth and nationality of all travellers, e-mail address of the person making the booking; any other data voluntarily provided by you during the registration process, such as telephone number or passport/ID number. Credit card information is NOT collected or stored by us. It is possible that this information is managed and stored by third party providers such as booking.com or stripe.com. Please refer to their policies and privacy statements. By default, WordPress (our website CMS) does not collect any personal data about users and only collects the data displayed in a registered user's profile. At most, data is collected by googleanalytics on our website about user behaviour on the website. We do not process this data or use it for advertising purposes. Comments If a comment or rating function is available on the website, we collect your e-mail address, your first and last name and, if applicable, the period of your stay with us.

Analytics services
Analytics data from Googleanalytics and Wordpress is collected and analysed anonymously. Our website does not use any tracking or analysis services that are linked to your person.
With whom we share your data
We share our data with Thun Thunersee Tourism on the basis of the legally prescribed visitor's tax bill and the accommodation tax (surname, first name, nationality, length of stay). If you pay by credit card, billing is done via Stripe.com (https://stripe.com/de-us/privacy). Reservations are recorded and managed in the Smoobu software (cloud) (https://www.smoobu.com/de/datenschutz/).
How long we store your data
Comments, reservation details, chat content and the like and the associated data (e.g. IP address) are stored and remain on our website until the commented content has been completely deleted or the content must be deleted for legal reasons (e.g. offensive comments).
Legal basis
The storage of comments is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). You can revoke your consent at any time. For this purpose, an informal communication by e-mail to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
Where your data is sent
We do not send any data to third parties outside Switzerland or the European Union.
